In addition to the ICOCA use area, ICOCA can also be used in the Kitaca area for JR-HOKKAIDO, the Suica area for JR-EAST, the PASMO area for Tokyo Metro and Keikyu, the TOICA area for JR-CENTRAL, the manaca area for Meitetsu and Nagoya Municipal Subway, the PiTaPa area for public railways in Kansai, the nimoca area for Nishitetsu, the SUGOCA area for JR-KYUSHU, and the HAYAKAKEN area for Fukuoka City Subway.
It can also be used on Kotoden (trains and buses) in the Kagawa region, the Astram Line, the Miyajima Ferry, and buses.
*Except in some cases, the service cannot be used across different areas.
*ICOCA cannot be used for trips with distances of more than 200km in the ICOCA area (with some exceptions).
